Year 6

Welcome to the Year 6 Page! Here's where you can find out all about our class and the wonderful things we are doing and planning for this year.

Year 6

Year 6 is a kind, supportive and friendly class of 30 children who have many talents and individual qualities. We strive to be ‘the best that we can be’ and look for ways to improve through by meeting our targets and creating challenges for ourselves.

Excitingly, our first main event of the year was spending a week in Knapp House, Devon for our residential trip.  There we took part in activities such as: abseiling, canoeing, tunnelling, climbing, rib boat ride, crate stacking, low ropes, tree hoist and many others.  On our trip we learned more about each other; including working as a team and skills that will help us support each other in our final year at Primary School.

As well as camp we have enjoyed work related around our books; Drove of Bullocks, Wallace and Gromit – Cracking Contraptions and Ice Bear.  We have been to Frankie and Benny’s restaurant to make pizzas and we had a fantastic visit to London. In London we saw Buckingham Palace and took a stroll through St. Jams Park, visited The Houses of Parliament, took at boat trip to Greenwich and had a super meal in the restaurant – Giraffe.
