Primary Head Teachers in North Somerset met to consider important educational issues including updates from the Department for Education and Ofsted, considering the new Sports Premium and the forthcoming curriculum. It was a very thought -provoking day; the highlight for me was looking in detail at an aspect of the Key Stage 2 Science curriculum and considering how we might plan for excitement, innovation and the highest quality learning through inspirational teaching. The new curriculum provides a wonderful opportunity to continue to realise our ambition of 'cherish and nurture, flourish and aspire'. I am thoroughly looking forward to working with the staff and the wider school community to bring this new curriculum to life!

In the afternoon we were joined by Chairs of our Governing Bodies and looked at the latest Ofsted framework, considering, in particular, the vital role of Governors in the leadership of the school. It was a very producative afternoon and our new Chair, Jodi Bowman, and I left with a shared determination to further enhance the work of the school.
