Harvest Festival

The church was full for our super Harvest Festival today...

It was lovely to see so many parents, grandparents and other supporters of our children  this morning as they led worship for the Harvest Festival at All Saints' Church. We enjoyed story-telling, poetry, music, and even a hand-signed prayer. Each class contributed to the service. Children all brought gifts of food which will be donated to a local charity supporting families and individuals in need of food.

Harvest Lunch was the biggest yet! Over 250 people enjoyed soup, cheese and bread main course followed by apple cake for dessert. Although, due to the relocating of our organic vegetable patch following building work, we were not able to supply many vegetables, we were very grateful for all the generous donations of produce from families. These were used for the delicious soup and apple cake. 'Best ever' was the verdict from the Harvest lunch veterans! This special family lunch is now in its fourth year and proceeds go to the Christian charity, 'Send a Cow' which provides African families in need with the valuable gift of a cow. I would like to thank the staff and governors for all their hard work  serving the lunches and all the support from the whole school community.
