Staff and children got into the spirit of the characters and a great deal of fun was had by everyone! There was a quiz for both key stages 1 and 2 and a chance to spend some time in our fabulous library. Some classes watched online authors give top tips on writing and the children I spoke to at lunch commented how interesting it had been.

In Collective Worship I read one of my favourite poems from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory about the replacement of TV for books. We remembered all those children around the world who do not have access to the wonderful books that are in our homes and at school due to poverty, war and restrictive laws. Children have all been given £1 book tokens so please contact the office if your child is missing their token. Thank you to Mrs Pinner for organising this.

A small group of children attended not my tea party but breakfast! Delicious pain au chocolat and hot chocolate were on the menu and we had fun chatting about our favourite books!
