Do you have a dream?

I had the privilege to attend an RE lesson all about the civil rights campaigner, Dr Martin Luther King earlier today when I visited Year 4...

We listened to Dr King's 'I have a dream' speech and even saw footage of this inspirational civil rights campaigner. The children then had the opportunity to write their own 'I have a dream' speech and I am really looking forward to reading their ideas.

Later in the day, as it was election day, Year 6 shared some of their manifestos and policies with me as they had been having their own election! We had discussed the importance of leadership in service during collective worship and some of the Year 6s certainly showed how their ideas could serve others. I have a feeling that we may have some budding politicians in our school!
