Harvest 2017

Thank you to All Saints' for allowing us to have our school Harvest Festival in the church this morning...

The whole school and many parents and grandparents gathered together for our morning service at All Saints' Church. Reception recounted the story of the Little Red Hen beautifully and this was followed by different aspects of Harvest presented by children from all the other classes. We sang some rousing harvest songs including my favourite, Harvest Samba! Children presented food (which has already been delivered to Clevedon Food Bank) at the altar and Year 6s led us in prayer.

After the service we returned to school to prepare for our Harvest Lunch. Over 250 people enjoyed a delicious meal of soup, cheese and bread followed by Mrs Grant's special flapjack. 'Best yet!' I heard from many tables! Money raised for the Harvest lunch will go to the charity, Send A Cow that provides valuable support for farming communities in Africa.

Thank you to everyone who made this Harvest so successful.
