We said a fond farewell to our long-serving Rector, Reverend Nicholas Maddock who retired yesterday. We had a delicious lunch prepared by our wonderful kitchen team, Mrs Grant and Mrs Barrett (which even included rhubarb crumble with fruit from the school garden!). It was lovely that our local clergy and Mrs Maddock were able to join us for this event.

Children had been busy learning lots of traditional hymns to send him off in style! With a superb piano accompanimet from Mrs Blundell, we progressed through ten traditional hymns, all chosen to celebrate Rev'd Maddock's love of singing. How beautifully everyone sang!

Revd Maddock then presented the school with some beautifully decorated cloths for our worship table to mark the litugical seasons which will be treasured.

We wish Reverend Maddock a long and happy retirement!
